The On The Wayve Story

How it all started

Azoul! On The Wayve all started with a love story. Mehdi and Roos met each other in Taghazout while Roos was on a surf holiday there. Roos’s family and friends had been visiting Taghazout often, and this is where the idea for On The Wayve was born: Organizing unforgettable surf trips, cultural experiences, and adventures for people who want to connect with the ocean, explore the rich culture, and discover the beauty of Morocco. Now, Roos lives part-time in Taghazout and has fallen deeply in love with the town.

Both Mehdi and Roos share a huge passion for surfing, even though Mehdi is a 4-time Moroccan Champion and Roos just started surfing two years ago. They both feel a strong connection to the ocean, having grown up next to it in their own countries.

Our passion for hospitality

With a shared love for surfing, adventure, and authentic Moroccan culture, we knew we wanted to create something special. Our goal was simple: to welcome people from around the world and share the real Taghazout experience, not just the waves but the hidden gems, local flavors, and warm hospitality that make Morocco unique.

Why On The Wayve?

At On The Wayve, we believe in offering more than just surfing lessons or day trips. We invite you to become part of our family, experience Moroccan hospitality, and immerse yourself in a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere.

Whether you’re here to ride your first wave, explore the local culture, or unwind by the ocean, we are here to make your stay unforgettable.
